First, check to make sure that the computer recognizes that a camera is attached. If the camera is not installed correctly, you won't see an image in the animation software, or you may receive an error message.
Follow these steps to begin troubleshooting your camera and software
- Unplug the camera and exit all running programs.
- Plug the camera in and launch AMCAP (instructions HERE). OS X users should launch Photobooth.
- If you do not see an image from the camera, then unplug and re-install the camera driver, either from the software CD, or the driver download HERE.
After re-installing the camera, plug it in again, and re-launch AMCAP. If an image appears, launch SMA. If not, then please contact us for further instructions.
